Reiki 1: weekend in Antwerp, reiki 2: weekend in the Ardennes
Reiki is a form of natural healing and takes place through soft and sacred touch. Reiki restores the health and harmony of the physical body. It dissipates emotional congestion and activates a more intimate connection with the realm of the spiritual. Reiki is also an exquisite and easy way of self-healing.
Reiki operates with the vibration of love and compassion. Its recent origin goes back to Japan and the life work of Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926). Reiki was taken to the West by the legendary Hawayo Takata (1900-1980). The next lineage bearer was Phyllis Lei Furumoto (1948-2019) who honored Frank and Kathy by teaching some workshops together, one of which in Bois-le-Comte!
In more and more hospitals worldwide Reiki is being used as a complimentary healing modality. Scientific studies have been able to demonstrate a connection between Reiki and a broad spectrum of wellbeing aspects.
In the First Degree Reiki Class each participant receives a series of 4 initiations. Together with the practice of Reiki they ensure that an organic relationship develops with this mysterious form of universal life energy. In the Second Degree Class the Reiki symbols are taught.
Frank and Kathy pass on the essence of Reiki with a respect for the Japanese tradition and through the telling of “teaching stories”. The symbolism of these stories speaks in a direct way to the heart and soul and meets the student exactly where he/she is on his/her path in life.
Frank has been doing Reiki since 1986 and has trained over a thousand people. Several times Frank has been the main speaker at the Northwest Reiki Gathering (NWRG). Frank has a busy Reiki practice and has been offering the Reiki training to the students of the Oregon School of Massage since 1991. Kathy started with Reiki in 1993 and became a Reiki Master under Paul Mitchell in 2007.
Frank and Kathy are very active participants in Reiki Home (www.reikihome.org) and are both members of the Reiki Alliance.

There are no prerequisites for the 1st degree class. The 2nd degree class is for people who have their 1st degree.
Workshop venue for reiki 2: eco-friendly centre la ferme du Bois-le-Comte
La ferme du Bois-le-Comte is an eco-friendly venue for groups in the South of Belgium (close to the French border and at a 20-minute walk from the famous abbey of Orval). Superb position in the midst of nature. All meals are plant-based.
