The Ground Floor Lab is an intensive, experiential, 30-hour introduction to the Open Floor curriculum. During this 6-day residential program you experience practical skills to use them in your movement practice, your everyday life, workplace and community.
You will peek behind the curtain to see how open floor sessions are built around movement resources. If you are interested it can be the first step into the Open Floor Teacher Training.

Prerequisites :
50 hours of instructed study in Embodied Movement Practices*
To support your understanding of the Open Floor curriculum, it is highly recommended that some of those hours be in Open Floor Movement Practice. If there is none available in your area, you can find online offerings in our calendar of events. You can also further familiarize yourself with Open Floor Movement Practice by reading through the curriculum material
*includes Yoga, Tai Chi, Alexander Technique, Somatic Experiencing, Feldenkrais as well as Movement Meditation/Conscious Dance Practices such as: Open Floor, Soul Motion, Movement Medicine, 5Rhythms, freedomDANCE, ZeroOne, 360 Emergence, Azul, BISO, Tamalpa, Continuum, Laban, Biodanza

This is a residential program. Evening session(s) might be added.
Cost
The pricing structure of the Ground Floor Lab aligns with Open Floor's value of inclusivity. There are differences among our participants geographically, in social status, and privilege. We offer more flexible and inclusive price options to embody economic justice. Together we can make this programme accessible and inclusive! The costs will cover the fees for two trainers and a crew of assistants and general costs for promotion and material. And it will be supporting the Open Floor International non-profit organization.
1250 EUR: normal rate 1600 EUR: generosity rate 1070 EUR: subsidised rate
Please choose the rate which feels fair for you. The rate includes the costs for accommodation and food full board in shared rooms (single room + 170 EUR) See below for more information.
Registration process
- Complete the application form.
- You will receive a copy of your registration immediately and within two weeks an email if you are accepted with the payment details.
- After your acceptance and when the payment is done, your registration will be confirmed by email.

Standaard prijs: 1250 EUR. Generosity rate: 1600 EUR. Discounted rate: 1070 EUR. Prijs op basis van volpension verblijf (100% bio en vegetarisch) in vierpersoonskamer. Een- of tweepersoonskamer: + 170 euro. Tweepersoonskamer is enkel mogelijk als je voor 2 personen inschrijft. Er is 10% voorafbetalingskorting (op de basisprijs) bij volledige betaling voor 17/10/25.
