Fear-based behaviors prevent us from accessing our creative powers; they limit our freedom; and rob us of our talents and our joy. They instill fear and anger into our most important relationships, and can block us from succeeding at any endeavor that we truly care about.
Though we all engage in all five habits, each of us tends to rely upon one or two of the five habits. Our families and early education trained us to use these habits to create feelings of safety. But in fact, all they really do is create more fear and sabotage our capacity for love and true fulfillment.
