Investigating your Power Stories
through Movement Medicine® & An Encounter with Benevolent Death
With Movement Medicine Co-Founder and Shaman, Ya’Acov Darling Khan
Rise is a deep, embodied shamanic journey that includes intensive Movement Medicine practice, mask work, and a totally safe but challenging encounter with benevolent Death through the Burial Ceremony.
We could all be far more powerful in this world than we are. At the same time, we all know how destructive power can be and many have experienced that in traumatic ways and as a result, are deeply suspicious of power. At the same time, there are many in this world who couldn’t give a damn about the effects of their actions who happily use whatever power they can to do whatever they please.
Leaving power to others and making power itself the problem is not a solution. Nor will it create the changes we need as a species at this time. Although power itself is neutral, our relationship to it steers much of the course of our life. If you want to make a difference in this world, then healing your relationship with power and developing your personal power is an absolute necessity. That is the focus of this workshop.
We will seek to find where we are denying or ignoring our power and sending it into the shadows, coming into a deeper understanding of the true nature of our power. We will re-design our connection to power so that it serves us to live more soulfully, mindfully, and creatively, leaving those old stories we are finished with behind in the grave.
With the support of benevolent death, we will design a new power story that serves the soul to bring its light into our world in service of what we dream for ourselves, our loved ones and the wider world to which we belong.
